There is delicious Peking duck (without pre-order) and super nice service from the boss!

Delicious..

Today for. First time I ate Peking duck. Very friendly service and the food was delicious. Only 4 stars because I hoped that the skin of a Peking duck would be crispy. Maybe a whole duck, we only had half a duck.

So one thing should be made clear, my girlfriend ate the original Peking duck in China and it tasted just as good in the restaurant here as it did there. The taste was just phenomenal. I rarely have such endorphin spikes from eating. The duck is rolled up in a wheat pancake along with a sauce and sprouts and then eaten. With a cucumber. Incredibly delicious! The ambience is also very nice, very traditional. It only looks a bit inconspicuous from the outside

I haven't eaten anything like that in ages. The man who served us was so nice and accommodating! We will definitely be back.

Food was ok but not special either, the atmosphere was quite shabby. We haven't tried the real Peking duck yet, but as expected it is quite expensive.

I'm still a bit ambivalent about 3 or 4 stars. The service was nice, the food was delicious and the inside of the restaurant looks very nice and inviting. Unfortunately, despite online reservations, we were told that you could only sit outside where it unfortunately looks like a cheap snack. We also had to wait more than 60 minutes for our food ... The food itself was very good quality and delicious. If it hadn't been for the long waiting time and the uncomfortable outdoor area, this would have become my new favorite Asian.

Very tasty food and nice host! We had ordered the Peking duck menu. There were 5 plentiful and above all good courses, the Peking duck was our highlight. A great price-performance ratio, we were very satisfied!

Unfortunately, I cannot understand the good reviews. The three of us had pre-ordered Peking duck by phone. The order seemed to have gone under, but they wanted to supply us without the pre-order. The service was friendly, even if only due to failures and therefore very stressful, but the food was abysmal. Short version: Service nice, but bad food, poor hygiene, definitely not to be recommended. The duck soup as a starter was a slightly greasy broth without any taste, in which some glass noodles and some pak choi swam. After two spoons we gave up. When the waiter saw our full bowls, he offered the alternative (sweet and sour soup), unfortunately this was also below average. When we asked about the duck soup, the waitress reacted rather surprised - maybe that should have served as a warning. The starters seemed to us not to be homemade, but from the freezer. They were no longer very hot and rather carelessly arranged. The duck was dry, obviously just fried - no trace of any special preparation and the skin was, well, duck skin. In itself okay, but not what you expect when you order Peking duck. Sauce was okay, the cucumbers and spring onions were dry and slightly browned, as if they had been standing for a long time without refrigeration. The lettuce leaves in the steaming baskets of the pancakes were (hopefully) only cooked and therefore mushy (the alternative would be just too disgusting). The rice dish was okay, but nothing special, the dessert was actually nicely presented, but didn't tear it out. All in all, really an experience that you don't want to repeat. Had we been told that the reservation had been forgotten and that there was simply no Peking duck without a pre-order, I would have preferred that. So we wasted a lot of money. Pity! You see, 15 years ago, the Peking Duck in the Peking Duck was great. Actually, after the water soup, we should have just canceled the order and left.

Delicious food, friendly service, pleasant ambience and reasonable prices. All in all, one of my favorite restaurants, I can only warmly recommend it!

Were there during opening hours, but the restaurant was closed. We called several times before and after, but it didn't work because the employees didn't answer. What a shame!!! Would have eaten there :)

We recommend. Nice service, courteous, food was delicious, prices are fair, all in all a nice evening in a small but nice restaurant.

Great food, great service, nice ambience

Anyone who likes a nice traditional Chinese meal will love it here. Beautiful rooms and an authentic style accompany the dishes with classical official music. A nice visit, again and again. I can really recommend it to everyone. thank you

Delicious Peking duck, very good other Chinese main courses and starters, all with a very friendly and warm service from the boss or the staff. What more do you want? In any case, we are very satisfied and would love to come back. The restaurant "Peking duck" is really recommendable. Reservation makes sense.

As a Chinese I would say the food here are really good. Better than most of the “Chinese restaurant “ in Hannover. Especially the Peking Ente, my friends and I ate it more than 3 times. It is true if you go there during weekend you need to wait food more than half an hour, but I still think it’s worth to come. And the owner of this restaurant is a really nice guy!

Nice, small restaurant with a very friendly innkeeper and nice service. The dishes are already apparent from the map not the usual Chinaeinerlei today. Each dish is different from the others and not every type of meat is covered with the same sauces. Tasty very tasty with a real taste of China and especially without buffet!
